I studied electric engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University featured in automation control. Then I become more fascinated by the computer architecture and pursued a PhD degree in the George Washington University focusing on parallel computing, dropped off in 2007.
I started my professional career at Microsoft Office where we built the graphics engine for the rest Office teams. It is a great experience to work in the most profitable and complicated desktop application in the world.
I left Microsoft in 2010 and joined Skytap just as Steven Ballmer claimed:
For the cloud, we’re all in.
As a small startup company catering the cloud computing services to the enterprise customers, the operational cost is greatly cut by the ubiquitous automation in Skytap: provision, deployment, continuous testing, etc.
In 2012, I joined SurveyMonkey to pursue “Big Data”. SurveyMonkey is a data-driven company: we help our customers to make better decisions based on the feedback from the real people. Internally, we make decisions backed by the hard cold data, or educational guess at least.
